Julie is a French and California attorney helping small businesses, business owners and entrepreneurs to set up their business legal structures, draft their commercial contracts and protect their intellectual property assets.
Julie decided to confine her practice to one type of client: the small business run by entrepreneurs.
Her own practice itself is a small business so Julie knows what it takes to build a start-up company on a solid foundation within a reasonable budget.
Julie wants to be part of helping to nurture other entrepreneurs’ dreams. She will help you to reduce risks, avoid unnecessary expenditure and protect your business resources.
Julie is ready to help you in a broad range of areas that include: corporation/LLC formation, commercial agreements, intellectual property/technology licensing.
Before founding LITV, Julie was a corporate law associate in Paris. Her main responsibilities included researching and drafting memoranda on corporate law, especially as part of due diligence. She was responsible for managing all the corporate, commercial and real property aspects of the acquisition of 35 franchise stores in France. She also gained some experience in drafting and reviewing intellectual property and corporate documents such as distribution agreements, non-disclosure and confidential agreements, software licenses, shareholders’ agreements, acquisitions of companies, minutes and leases.
Julie moved to the Unites States a few years ago and graduated from UC Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law where she focused her studies in intellectual property. During her L.L.M., she was a research assistant for the Professor Molly Vab Houweling in copyright law where she performed extensive legal research and drafted various memoranda part of a project later published in 2010 under “Author Autonomy and Atomism in Copyright Law” 96 Va. L. Rev 549 (2010).
Julie is admitted to practice law in France and in California.
